Leaving from Nendaz

Bisse du Milieu - Bisse Vieux

The "Bisse du Milieu" and the "Bisse Vieux" pass through spruce and larch forests, pass by chalets and pastures and irrigate the strawberry and raspberry fields. At Planchouet and Bleusy, take some time to admire their chapels dating back to the 1930’s. There is the possibility to have a restaurant meal or snack along the way. This walk is an easy hike linking both sides of the valley towards Planchouet and Lavantier. A highly recommended walk for families.

Isérables

Easy walk, very enjoyable and extremely sunny. At Isérables, take a little time to visit its museum which is composed of a unique collection of historic documents, furniture and utensils, telling the story of a rich past in the region.

The Larches of Balavaud

Tracouet and its Lac Noir (Black Lake) will fascinate you with its fantastic views of the Rhône valley. At Prarion, the biggest Larch trees in Europe (as large as 12m in diameter) entrust an ancient nobility to the region where Mother Nature is queen. The Bisse de Saxon is the longest in the Valais. The Bourla cabin has been used as a refuge for the guardian of the ‘bisse’ for many long years.
