Snowboard World Cup(13.01.2010)
High participation
The coming Winter Olympics in Vancouver add a little more spice to these two competitions and have guaranteed the participation of all the elites worldwide. The Swiss snowboardcross include a few favourites among the ladies: Tanja Frieden, Mellie Francon and Olivia Nobs, to name but a few. In the men’s category the representation is a little more modest. In the parallel slalom, the Schoch brothers, Simon and Philipp, are among the best worldwide specialists. In the ladies category, the Haut-Valaisanne Patrizia Kummer will definitely give it her best « at home ». Both the parallel slalom, with its direct elimination system, and the snowboardcross, where four competitors departing at the same time have to fight for their place in first and second position, are breathtakingly spectacular.
