The Tsâblo water mill
The old village guided tour goes through the mill.
At the end of the 19th Century, the milling industry was flourishing in the commune of Nendaz, having at least 12 mills in activity. In times of shortage, the commune exported wheat flour. During this period, along the banks of the mountain stream of Tsablo 4 mills, 1 grind-mill, 1 sawmill and 1 tannery were to be found.
Thanks to the association dedicated to save Nendaz's heritage, the Tsablo water mill was completely reconstructed according to traditional convention, bearing in mind the memories of the past. The mill has been in operation again since its opening in summer 2003.
All year round, a guided visit of the old village goes to the mill
