Welcome and explanations on the course of your hike for the next 4 days, and checking of your equipment. Free evening with unlimited access to the spa from 14h.

D1 Nendaz - Siviez - Cabane de Prafleuri

This stage of the hike takes you from the Val de Nendaz to the Val des Dix. It begins in Siviez, which you reach by taxi, with a short ride on the Novelly chairlift. Your hike starts out pleasantly along a relatively flat, footpath along a 'bisse' an ancient irrigation channel, overlooking Siviez and the Cleuson dam. Then your path takes you through a mineral, almost lunar setting, with a possible swim in the small icy-cold lake of Grand-Désert. The final ascent of the Col de Prafleuri allows you to reach the neighbouring valley, and finally your mountain cabin.

D2 Prafleuri Mountaion Cabin- Arolla

From the mountain cabin, you have to cross a small mountain pass that takes you towards the Dixence lake, which you walk along on a pleasant path. You then climb into an increasingly mineral world to reach the Riedmatten pass which separates the two valleys and allows you to enjoy a stunning view over the surrounding mountains. During the descent, you gradually come back into contact with the plant world, particularly through the splendid Arolla (Swiss Pine) forest which gave its name to Arolla. Welcome to the Val d'Hérens.

D3 Arolla - Evolène or La Sage

n complete contrast to the first two stages, the high mountain setting gives way to pastures. First of all, the pine trees accompany you during the beginning of this hike. After that, the trail leads you to the " Lac Bleu ", a magical place and ideal for a break. Then it takes you through the Etoile and Niva mountain pastures above Evolène, where you may have the chance to meet the legendary fighting cows of the Val d'Hérens. You can also enjoy a breathtaking view of the Dent-Blanche and the Matterhorn, the most famous mountains in the Valais.

Your guide can also tell you about the fascinating geological features of the area, from the African to the European plate.

Don't forget to take a swim suit for the hamam available in your hotel.

D4 La Sage - Grimentz

For this last stage of your hike, you begin a long ascent through the pastures of the Val d'Hérens, up to the Col du Torrent which separates the Val d'Hérens from the Val d'Anniviers, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Moiry dam. The descent takes you to the edge of the superb Lac des Autannes, with a magnificent view over the 4000m high summits of the valley. You end your day along the Moiry dam, or even further on in the lovely resort of Grimentz for the more determined.
