Head out to discover the forest by following the Pine cone path
This path was opened to honour the Swiss Forestry Commission’s 150th birthday. The project was carried out by the Bourgeoisie de Nendaz, in collaboration with Nendaz Tourisme and the Cleuson-Dixence project.
As you follow this path, the cones which you will most frequently find are those of the Spruce, a tree also known under the name of red pine. You will also find other cones: those of the Fir tree, fat, purple and dribbling with sap, and those of the Larch, which are round and small.
In the discovery of exceptional sites
Its path of about 10km leads to the discovery, for example, of the pond of Sofleu, the bisse of Saxon, the scree of Dzerjonna, the mountain meadow of Pra da Dzeu and even the little lake of Ouché.
Technology in the service on the patois
The pine cone trail also keeps up with the times by using QR codes. By scanning them you can listen to legends and sentences in patois (local dialect).
Departure The trail starts at the crossing of the route des Clèves and of Nendaz
