From the Col des Gentianes, you can continue your ascent to the summit of Mont-Fort or descend towards Chaux/Verbier. In winter, this lift serves the Gentianes freetrack, a long, secured but ungroomed slope that takes skiers and snowboarders back down to Tortin. For the less adventurous, the descent can also be made via the cable car. In summer, this cable car allows those who have made the long and difficult climb from Tortin to return to the valley in a more comfortable way.
