A day to learn how to use rescue equipment and the dangers of off-piste skiing

Discover the fundamentals of mountain safety with the Avalanche 1 introductory day.
The first part of the day will be devoted to a theoretical session covering the following topics:

- Avalanche bulletin reading
- Problems associated with the snowpack
- Avalanche rescue basics

In the second part, it's time for practice! Under the guidance of experts, you'll learn how to get around off-piste terrain (ascent and descent) and take part in an exercise to master the use of rescue equipment (avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel).
Come and learn the basics so you can enjoy the mountains in complete safety!

    Meet at 9:15am at the Sorebois restaurant (Zinal), for a day that will finish around 4pm
    Please bring: Ski equipment, avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel, sunglasses, picnic or lunch at the Sorebois restaurant (possibility of eating on site at midday), day pass for the Zinal lifts
