The inalpe is a particularly special time of the year. The cattle leave the mid-mountain grazing and head for the mountain pastures, where they spend the summer. On this occasion, the cows of the Hérens breed instinctively fight each other horn to horn to establish a natural hierarchy within the herd. The cow that has won against all the others is named Queen.
This day rich in tradition heralds the beginning of summer and is the perfect occasion to spend a nice day in the mountains enjoying folklore and traditions.
