The departure of this hike is at the arrival station of the Veysonnaz gondola in Thyon. You first pass the Combyre mountain pasture, where the cows graze every year at the beginning and end of the summer season. The descent continues through the flower-filled mountain meadows and then through the mid-mountain pastures of Veysonnaz to the resort.

At the beginning of summer, you can enjoy the sweet-smelling meadows in full bloom, and in mid-July, the hay-making season begins. The mid-mountain pastures are thus very well cared for year after year.

This itinerary can also be done in the opposite direction, where it becomes more challenging.
