« Scènes de villages » : a new summer cultural tour in the heart of the Valais

19:30 - 21:30

Flyer

A new travelling cultural project is being launched this summer in the Valais: “Scènes de villages”. This initiative involves a show travelling to 13 villages and municipalities in the Valais, with the aim to bring artistic creation closer to the public and showcase the local arts scene.
AAnd so, ‘Scènes de villages’ will be stopping off at Sion, Champéry, Crans-Montana, Chermignon d’en bas, Hérémence, Troistorrent, Mollens, Sierre (Muraz), Nendaz, Salquenen, Val-d’Illiez, Saillon and Grimisuat: quite a list !
'Scènes de villages' encounters the local residents by taking its performances to the villages. The open-air performances offer a friendly and inclusive experience, whilst showcasing the Valais’s cultural talent. The project thus contributes to the prosperity of local communities and to strengthening social bonds in the canton of Valais.

For this first edition, the public will be treated to *Les Figurants* by Delphine de Vigan, directed by the Valais-based actor and director Fred Mudry. Driven by subtle, sensitive writing tinged with humour, the play explores our place in society and the roles we take on – whether willingly or not – in our daily lives. The production offers an accessible and contemporary interpretation, in keeping with the spirit of community championed by 'Scènes de villages'.
