The departure of this hike is in Siviez, at a few steps from the restaurant «Chez Caroline».

First walk towards Tortin, along a pleasant track. Cross the Tortin pastures. When you arrive at the top of the Tortin chairlift, follow the path towards the Col des Gentianes (pass). You then follow a mountain path marked in red and white. This ascent is relatively demanding and requires a good level of physical condition.

From the Col des Gentianes, you can take the cable car up to Mont-Fort, which rises to 3,300 metres. From here you can enjoy a 360° panoramic view of the Alps which is well worth the visit.

Please note that the entire ascent and descent from Siviez to the Mont Fort can be done via the ski lift system.
