Ideally, you should depart from Thyon, at the arrival of the Veysonnaz gondola. The route crosses the Combire-Meina mountain pastures to reach Siviez, in the heart of the valley.

The trail follows the route de la Planie to Nendaz and the Tracouet cable car. A lovely descent leads to the Cabane de Balavaud, then the route winds through the forest, overlooking Isérables and les Créteaux before returning to Nendaz. From there, it continues towards Saclentse to Plan-Désert before branching off to the right for a final ascent along the Djiette forest track. After this last effort of about five kilometres, there remains the charming hamlet of Verrey to cross, then return to Veysonnaz.
